2026 - 2027 Class A Assessment

The Board of Directors of the South Carolina Life and Accident and Health Insurance Guaranty Association voted to impose a non-pro rata Class A assessment on member insurers in accordance with South Carolina Code Section 38-29-80 and the Association’s Plan of Operations. The assessment will cover administrative expenses for the calendar years 2026 and 2027. Each member insurer will be assessed $1,000. Once an invoice is generated in AssessConnect, payment is due within 30 days of the assessment’s issuance.

Class A assessments are imposed on all member insurers and when imposed on a non pro rata basis may not be off set against any future Class B assessments. Certificates of contribution are not issued for Class A assessments.
